Please note that effective September 11th Pennsylvania Governor Wolf announced that anyone entering PA from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Tennessee must quarantine for 14 days before entering the Commonwealth. You will need to confirm that you have done this prior to staying at Grape Arbor.
We have made some changes that will affect your experience at Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast. The safety and well-being of our guests and staff are the highest priority. As we continue to monitor COVID-19, we want to make you aware of the measures we have implemented to help safeguard the health of those visiting:
* Staff have increased their hand-washing schedule to meet or exceed CDC guidelines, and anyone feeling the least bit sick is staying home.
*We encourage you, as guests to wash your hands frequently. Soap is provided in all guest rooms and hand sanitizer is available throughout the common areas.
* Please! If you feel sick, are experiencing any symptoms of COVID, or have recently been in contact with anyone who has tested positive–we would appreciate it if you stay home! We have updated cancellation policies to make them more flexible.
Cleaning is different!
We have always been proud of our diligent cleaning efforts at the Inn. For the time being, we are discontinuing any room freshens during your stay. This means that you will be the first and only person going into the room once it has been cleaned and sanitized. If you need additional towels, soap, or other amenities, please ask at breakfast, call, or text and we will be happy to provide them!
The rooms look a little different, as we have worked to remove any items than cannot be washed/sanitized with every visit. We are making every effort to comply with CDC recommendations, PA Department of Health guidelines, and AHLA STAY SAFE enhanced guidelines.
Check-ins are different!
During this phase of opening, we are implementing contactless check-ins. What does this mean? As the date of your reservation approaches, you will receive an automated check-in document. Please complete the document, as requested. Once we have received your check-in document, we will send you directions telling you where to park, enter the building, and pick up your key. You may come and pick up your key anytime after 3pm on the date of your arrival.
Breakfast is different!
We will still be serving our famous breakfast, but you will notice that we will be wearing a mask. Hugs and handshakes will temporarily be replaced with twinkling eyes and smiles (under our masks).
We are spreading out our breakfast locations so that everyone can be properly distanced. There will be two times for breakfast, 8am and 9:30am. We ask that if you choose the 8am breakfast, please plan to spend no more than an hour at your table, to give us time to clean and sanitize the area for the next guest.
If you are not comfortable with a sit down breakfast, we are happy to leave a breakfast bag outside your door, which will include water, fruit, and a muffin or other fresh goodie.
Because the world is different….
Restaurants in town have limited dining inside, outside and/or takeout. Please check out the information in our welcome guide (or call us) for particulars.
Most of the wineries in New York have outside spaces available for tastings and purchases of glasses or bottles. In Pennsylvania, check our welcome guide, that we have updated with wineries that have outside seating for tastings or glasses/bottles of wine. For a convenient chart, look at Lake Erie Wine Country for a chart that may help!
When breakfast service is finished, we will clean several areas and clearly designate them as places where you may sit and enjoy takeout, including the sunporch, the library, and, in nice weather, the courtyard outside. We ask that you call or text us when you have finished your meal, so that we can come and clean the area for use by the next guest.
